Toddlers prove to a great bundle of joy but keeping them busy can be quite a task! This is the age when their willingness to learn and inquisitiveness is growing which is almost at its peak. So, how does one keep these toddlers busy at all times? Activities for toddlers can be fun and creative and most teachers and parents as well, can include such interesting activities to help the overall development of the child. Are you running out of ideas for activities for your little one? Or would you like to incorporate something new for the kid?

Frolicking Activities Your Toddler Would Enjoy

Shake It Up:
This activity would help the toddler have their first brush with cooking. Well, they don't actually need to cook anything; you would only need to supervise and prepare a few things in advance. Take a look at what you will need:

Small bowl
Measuring cup (½ cup)
Tablespoon
8 oz cup (One)
Coffee stirrer /straw (1 per child)
Shaker/container with an airtight lid

Ingredients:
Cold milk (½ cup)
Fruits (Blueberries, grapes, strawberries or banana slices)
Gelatin - any flavor (1 tablespoon)

What a Teacher or Parent Will Need to Do:
Firstly, wash the fruit and ensure they also realize why you are going through the trouble of washing them. Place the entire gelatin in the bowl.

What the Toddlers Can Do:
(Ensure they have washed the hands. Hygiene habits need to be imbibed since their childhood days)
Make them measure the milk and pour it along with the gelatin, into the shaker. Help them add some fruit to it. Close the lid and shake this up! (Watch their smiles and giggles as they enjoy this process!) Help them pour it into the cup and teach them to stir it as well. The toddlers can enjoy the shake and yes! You can get a sip too, if you are lucky!

Books Can Be Great as Friends:
This is the time when you need to develop the love for reading for the toddler. Activities must include story-telling sessions. You can do so at bedtime or take him/her to the local library and participate in activities that can let the child interact and generate more interest about reading.

Water Babies:
An apt age for the child to swim, activities for toddlers can also include such fun activities that will help your child to learn something new as well. With their introduction to a new element, they are bound to spend many hours enjoying the feel of water, splashing about in the pool. You can even have a kiddie's pool at home.

Nature Time:
Your toddler should learn the importance of nature and respect animals as well. Ensure you take a weekend off and take him/her to a farm or a ranch. This will keep them refreshed, as toddlers will love the outings. Besides, it will also give them some chance to interact and see animals at close quarters. This would help him/her also develop a bond with animals.

Fun with Colors:
Develop the creative skills by ensuring he/she has a brush with art as well. You can draw out various forms and explain the meaning so that the toddler learns new objects or animals, as well. Show him/her how to fill in the colors and let their creativity unfold after that! Crayons would preferable be for toddlers.
